This site is operated by AMS Authority Press.
This policy describes what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is short because the site collects very little.
What is collected
You can read everything here without giving any personal data. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing is sold on this site.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Authority Brief, your email address is collected and processed by Beehiiv, which sends the newsletter on our behalf. Beehiiv records whether emails are delivered and opened.
- Analytics. Aggregate usage data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, browser and device type. This is collected by Umami, which uses no cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
- Email. If you write to us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to answer it.
What is not collected
No advertising trackers. No Google Analytics. No fingerprinting. No profiles built about you. No data sold or shared with advertisers, because there are none.
Why we are allowed to do this
Newsletter emails are sent because you asked for them, and you can stop them at any time. Analytics is collected because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read, and it is configured so it cannot identify you.
How long it is kept
Your subscription stays until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Email correspondence is deleted once it is no longer useful.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or withdraw consent. Unsubscribing takes one click from the footer of any email. For anything else, write to the address below and we will act within thirty days.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Processors
Beehiiv for email delivery. Umami for analytics. Hosting and domain services for serving the site. Each keeps its own privacy terms.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced in the newsletter.
